Know any good relationships?

It suddenly dawned on me that I've been engaged for almost 8 years. That's a long time, but the truth is I'm not really in any particular hurry to tie the knot because 1. I just don't think I do marriage well (the first time around was bloody AWFUL) and 2. from my circle of friends and relatives, I don't think I know of any good - I mean REALLY good - marriages at all. Can make a person a bit scared to dip a toe in those waters again, for sure...
Inspire me! Do tell about a relationship that you are in or know of that really works for both parties (yes, both halves hafta be as content/happy as the other)...

Of course you shouldn't get married unless you want to - but I have some friends at work who are celebrating their 30th anniversary and they are like best friends still. My uncle will be celebrating his 50th anniversary next month and they are still so cute with each other. And, I've been married almost 18 years and through the ups and downs I would have to say it's been one of the best decisions of my life. I had an awful first marriage as well, although luckily it was short and no children - but still, it took me quite a few years to even think about trying it again. Most importantly - a reason to get married would be to have a wedding you could invite your friends (cough, cough) to where there would be cake and music and food!
Are you going to have a Fall edition?
