Do you think it worthwhile to do a feature on the different types of yoga? I've practiced yoga on and off for years, but there seems to be a plethora of yoga disciplines - hatha, sivananda, Ashtanga, Iyengar. I'd love to learn what each discipline focuses on, how they are similar, how they differ. What do you think?

Different types of yoga would be interesting to read about. I've recently discovered Kundalini yoga. It incorporates a lot of breathing ("Breath of Fire") which is so good for you (and aerobic).

We've been toying with the idea of doing some kind of "How I keep in shape" special and yoga is definitely one of the activities that would be featured...

So thanks, khe, for the idea :o)

Please also include locations for yoga classes. I just started taking the classes provided through my membership at Sportsplex. I'm hooked :)

If you are in the Kingston area, you can take yoga in a beautiful studio located at 2 Main Street in the Kirkland building. It is "tha Yoga Room" and the instructor Keri-Ann Laurito is super. She takes her time and works with everyone in the class giving personalized attention to each student making one feel comfortable and watching to see that each person is doing the moves correctly. Both men and women are taking classes there. I am new to yoga and I love it. You can call the studio at 845-750-8298 for more information.
