Thanks for this message board. I hope this is a good place to post this.

I am a 2 year breast cancer survivor and participated in my first Avon Walk in New York City last October, 6 months after completing radiation and chemotherapy. I walked over 40 miles over 2 days through many interesting neighborhoods of Manhattan and Brooklyn after raising over $5,000. ($1800 is the requirement.

It was a great experience and I had a great time meeting many fantastic people along the way.

If I can do it you can, too. I am forming a new team for the walk, "The Hudson Valley Hoofers"

I trained last summer by walking the Heritage Trail between Goshen and Monroe and other locations in the area. (Any suggestions would be appreciated)

Did you know that over 200,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year and that men can get it too? There are probably 1 million people who have undiagnosed breast cancer. Maybe even someone you know and love.

The Avon Foundation funds medical research and provides clinical care, education, and support services for breast cancer patients and their families.

Join me in the fight! Contact me at 845-781-3050. We can train and fundraise together.

Thanks,
Peggy

Way to go, Peg! As you know, I'm a survivor as well and would love to help in any way I can.
